Introduction

When opening QC View for the first time, you will be prompted to allow permission to add photos to your device, and to allow push notifications. Q-See recommends allowing both for the best experience.

  10. Select the QR Code icon in the "SN" field.

  11. Scan the QR Code on the top of your recorder.

    • You may also scan the QR Code by accessing the menu on your recorder. Go to Main Menu - QR Code.

  12. Enter a Name for your device.

    • Enter the Username and Password for your device.

    • Default Credentials: Username: admin (all lowercase) Password: admin (all lowercase)

  13. Select Start Live Preview

if you receive the error failed to connect, try rebooting the DVR/NVR. Then on the device go to Menu - QR code. Make sure the status is Connected. Then re-add the device to QC View.

After the firmware update QCView on my iPhone X lost connectivity. I deleted my device (NVR) and using Scan N’ View now get the error “Pleas scan correct device list QR code info. My NVR is a QC8816 and I’m running QCView 4.30.004.

In step 5 be sure to tap the + sign in the top right corner. If you tap CREATE DEVICE CARD, you will receive the error you have described.
